This is what I want to do as well. The problem is when the user has hundreds of separate media folders that the user wants in list view. I don't believe that it is rational or logical to expect the user to manually set the view as LIST for each one of his folders. When a new folder is created containing media files it automatically default to detail view rather than LIST view as well. It is absolutely NOT available on Windows 7.
