Microsoft word 2010 crashes when printing

It works good and it shows error as described in my first post. The content you requested has been removed. Ask a question. Quick access. Search related threads. Remove From My Forums. Answered by:. Archived Forums. Word for Developers. The problem is: one of my co-workers makes complaints about her document hanging she tries to print it. I'm think that the template is the problem and renamed the Normal. When I checked "Automatic update of template" in Templates settings, the printing worked, but the document's formatting screwed up.

But it worked only once. Next time I tried printing the same document - same thing happened. What happens if you open the document and copy all of the content, then close down word and rename normal. Did you use the Samsung drivers or the Microsoft ones? What happens if you try the opposite? Did you reinstall over old drivers or blast away and then install? When I paste the document data to a document from a new template, the paper formats change - some are normal A4, but some are the size of a letter.

There are some documents that have the same one problem. There is even one worth of 50 pages, but I don't think that co-worker will manually correct everything every single time and for 50 pages. I tried both Universal Samsung Driver and normal one. Same thing. As I said before, on office these documents are printing correctly without hangings.

Is that the only printer you have? Do you have a different one you can set as the default? This is usually caused by the default printer. We have some printing issues here with Office that are most definietly problems between Office and the printer drivers. Installing the same set of drivers will not sort the issue here and I guess will not there either, if you can then get updated drivers, if you can not you could try older drivers.

In some cases we've resorted to printing to the XPS printer or saving the document as PDF and printing those - not a great work around but at least the work gets printed. Its a very basic print driver that works on most printers.

It should narrow down the problem to being the print driver your using. The OutlPrnt file could be corrupted? The file where Outlook keeps its printing style settings Don't know if Word and Excel has the same type of file, but give it a try? Try to rename this to. It seems to print ok from other programs, but will double check again. I like your idea of downgrading though which gives me another idea to try. Media: I don't think this file would be the issue unless it was related to a shared file.

The corrupt file suggestion though enlightens me to something I have not yet done on the PC - I have not hard deleted the printer drivers rom the pc. Gonna give that a go. Not great because it destroys any of the new style content the user may have chosen to make use of. Does anyone object to me marking my own post as the best answer? All it says is that this is he solution to anyone who has the same issue. I had the same confusing nightmare. From each machine on clients network, I printed a test page from the printer in Windows.

The printout showed me the printer driver versions installed on each machine. I hard removed each printer driver, then applied the last printer driver so all machines were using the latest version. Presto, Office prints without crashing intermittently. I know, give it a week something else will go wrong I just experienced this error today. I tried all the above. I found out that user doesn't use Outlook for his exchange account and uses Me. I am not familiar with Me.

Your description above is not as clear as one would hope, but I will assume it was the same issue that I had. I have a problem that may be similar to what others are experiencing, but maybe not exactly the same.
