Any aftermarket head unit is compatible as long as you get the correct wire harness for it. I have a local installer that I go to from now on. Check out some local audio installers they are definitely affordable if you only need a head unit or speakers installed. Getting an amp installed is a lot more. I still have the stock tape player. Trying to get it out. Anyone ever thought about creating an ipad mount in these cars? I have a '97 LX and an ipad 3!
